Richard never really grew out of his early obsession with movies and TV. A childhood spent running around his estate making short films on is dad’s Hi-8 camera soon evolved to a Masters in Directing at Sydney’s prestigious AFTRS and 2 AFI nominations before the age of 25.
Following a pathway into the commercial world, Richard has spent the last 10 years developing a reputation as the thinking man’s comedy director, helming numerous high profile campaigns and netting a number of awards around the world including the individual honour of the PADC Diamond Skull for Best Director in 2018.
The diversity in his work - from slapstick and visual comedy to the more naturalistic performance driven work - is a reflection of a sharp eye and strong interpretive skills, built on a methodical and inclusive approach. He divides his time between the UK, Perth, Sydney and Los Angeles.
